Terms of Service
These terms govern the use of this portal. By creating an account you accept them. The English version is the only binding version.
1. What this portal is
The portal is a knowledge platform. Members answer questions and receive a reward for correct answers. Participation in quizzes is free of charge. Tournaments are open to premium members. Nothing on this portal is a game of chance: results depend solely on the correctness of the answers and, in tournaments, on the time needed. See the separate page on this point.
2. Account
- One person may hold one account only.
- The information given at registration must be accurate, in particular the date of birth.
- Minimum age for quizzes is 16 years, for tournaments 18 years.
- The account may not be transferred, sold or shared.
- Passwords must be kept secret. Actions taken through an account are attributed to its holder.
3. Rewards
- A reward is granted for the first attempt at a quiz only. Later attempts are practice and are not rewarded.
- The amount per question is shown before the run starts.
- Rewards are credited to the internal balance in euro. The balance is not an interest bearing deposit and is not a payment account.
- Rewards are granted for genuine participation by a natural person. Automated answering, scripts, shared accounts and coordinated answering are prohibited and lead to the loss of the affected rewards.
4. Tournaments
- Tournaments require an active premium membership that covers the whole participation window.
- Each participation consumes one entry from the monthly quota of the plan.
- All participants receive the identical set of questions in the identical order.
- The ranking is decided first by the number of correct answers, then by the net time measured on the server from pressing start to the arrival of the submission.
- A run that is not submitted before the window closes does not count.
- Prizes are released by the operator after review of the results.
- If a question turns out to be faulty, the operator may pause or cancel a tournament. In that case entries are returned and no prizes are paid.
4b. Free use and advertising
- The portal is free of charge. Advertising pays for it, so free use requires agreement to advertising and to the cookies the advertising networks need.
- The agreement is given once and can be withdrawn at any time on the cookie page. Without it the portal cannot be used free of charge.
- Whoever does not want advertising can take a premium membership instead. Both ways give access to the same content.
- Adverts are marked as such. Where an advert leads to a partner network, a purchase made through it may earn the operator a commission, without changing the price for the buyer.
- Rewards paid to members come from advertising income. See the separate page on how the portal is financed.
5. Premium
- Premium removes all advertising from the portal and with it the cookies of the advertising networks.
- Premium opens the tournaments and provides the monthly entries stated in the chosen plan.
- Premium grants no advantage inside a quiz or tournament, no different questions and no higher prizes.
- Premium is paid in advance for the chosen term and ends automatically. There is no automatic renewal.
- Premium payments cover the running of the portal, such as hosting, development and support. They are not a stake and they do not fund the rewards. See the separate page on how the portal is financed.
- Payouts are made only to members whose identity has been verified. See the separate page on money laundering prevention.
- Payouts are made to an account held by the member personally. Payouts to third parties are refused.
- Minimum amounts and fees per payout method are shown before the request is submitted.
- The operator may hold a payout while a suspicion of misuse is examined.
7. Referral programme
The referral programme is a fixed part of this portal, not an optional extra. It exists so that members can earn their premium membership instead of paying for it: commission from referred premium purchases is credited to the balance and can be used to buy premium.
For the programme to work at all, an invitation has to be attributed to the member who sent it. By creating an account every member accepts that an invitation code carried in a link is stored on the device and attributed when a registration follows. This is part of the service, not advertising, and it applies to every member equally: whoever wants their own invitations to be attributed must accept attribution of the invitations of others.
Taking part actively is a separate and free decision. Nobody has to promote the portal.
Manipulating the programme can lead to exclusion from the portal and to the loss of the balance. Manipulation includes in particular:
- creating accounts for oneself or for persons under one's control in order to earn commission
- paying third parties to register and buy premium
- deleting, overwriting or falsifying invitation codes of other members
- spam and misleading promotion as described on the separate page with the referral rules
8. Content submitted by members
Members may submit questions. By submitting, the member grants the operator a permanent, transferable, royalty free right to use, edit, translate and publish the submission on this portal and its sister portals. Submissions must not infringe third party rights.
9. Conduct
The following is prohibited:
- automated access, scraping, scripts and any manipulation of timing
- multiple accounts, shared accounts and passing an account to another person
- insulting, discriminatory or unlawful content in messages and submissions
- content that is political propaganda or advertises a political cause
- attempts to disturb the operation of the portal
10. Suspension and termination
The operator may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Rewards obtained through a breach are forfeited. Members may close their account at any time; a positive balance is paid out if the identity check has been completed and the minimum amount is reached.
11. Availability
The portal is provided as it is. The operator does not warrant uninterrupted availability. Maintenance windows may occur.
12. Liability
The operator is liable for intent and gross negligence without limitation. For slight negligence the operator is liable only for the breach of an essential contractual duty and only up to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Liability under mandatory statutory law remains unaffected.
13. Changes
The operator may change these terms. Members are informed by email or on their next sign in. Continued use after the change counts as acceptance. If a change is material, members may close their account and have any balance paid out.
14. Language
These terms are written in English. Translations into other languages are provided for information only. In case of any difference the English version prevails.
15. Applicable law
The law of the operator's seat applies, excluding its conflict of laws rules. Mandatory consumer protection law of the member's country of residence remains unaffected.
